The Sunday Market

This past weekend I stayed at Aunt Mary Ann's house and she took me to Quezon City's Sunday Market with her family and friends. This market is amazing. Here everything is sold: food, drinks, electronics, watches, purses, clothing, home decor- you name it they've got it. And the fantastic thing about it is that everything is incredibly cheap. It's the place where 10 people can eat for less than $30.

The shops are divided by sheets that are supported by poles, which also support the "tent" structure that's used for shading everything and everyone.

The food you can get here is quite a sight. It ranges from traditional Filipino food, to corn dogs & hot dogs, to dried fruits & fresh fruits, oatmeal, all types of ice cream, and more that I'm afraid to say I can't remember.

So while I was here I almost died of a heat stroke.

I'm kidding. But it was insanely hot. I could literally feel my skin burn as soon as I was in direct sunlight. But while I was here I tried snail, ate cheese-flavored goat milk ice cream, drank the most delicious & freshest melon juice, chased Aunt Mary Ann's kids up and around shops, played with coy fish, and bought a dress for $2.50. Quite a busy day.
